Federal Circuit & Family Court Dandenong – Family Law

Duty lawyers are available to assist people who have matters listed at Court on the day. Assistance may also be offered to people making urgent applications if time permits.

Frankston Magistrates’ Court – Intervention Orders

Duty lawyers assist either applicants or respondents with advice, negotiation and representation for matters listed at Court that day.

They may also provide assistance with additional FV Services;

  • intervention order applications
  • urgent victim of crimes applications

Family Violence

PCLC assists people experiencing disadvantage who are facing legal issues arising out of family violence. This means that we assist with issues such as:

  • family violence and personal safety intervention orders
  • children living with and spending time with their parents (previously called “custody and access” or “residence and contact”)
  • division of property after separation
  • separation and divorce
  • victims of crime applications

Fines & Traffic

PCLC offers assistance and advice regarding outstanding fines including driving on toll roads without an e-tag, parking fines and public transport fines.

Come to your appointment prepared, it is important that you bring along all your outstanding fines and any other paperwork you have received in relation to them.

Tenancy Assistance and Advocacy Program

The Tenancy Assistance and Advocacy Program assist private tenants, rooming house and caravan park residents who live in the Southern Metropolitan and Bayside Peninsula regions of Melbourne. Priority is given to people who are victims of family violence or financially disadvantaged and may also have a vulnerability.

Advice and ongoing assistance, including representation at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal Residential Tenancies List, is provided in relation to matters such as repairs, rent arrears, possession/notices to vacate, rent increases, lease breaking, breach of duty, site agreements, tenancy agreement matters, bond and compensation claims.

Appointments are available at our Frankston, Cranbourne, Bentleigh and Rosebud offices. Visiting services also offered in Dandenong, Clayton South, Narre Warren, Pakenham and St. Kilda.

Duty Advocate Services are offered at the Dandenong, Frankston, Oakleigh and Dromana Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal venues.

Come to your appointment prepared – please bring along any documents relating to your tenancy matter such as leases, contracts and receipts.

Bayside Peninsula Region – includes local government areas of Bayside, Frankston, Glen Eira, Kingston, Port Phillip, Stonnington and Mornington Peninsula.

Southern Melbourne Region – includes local government areas of Cardinia, Casey and Greater Dandenong.
