Tim approached PCLC after receiving a 7-day notice from the Sheriff regarding $116,405.20 in unpaid fines. His long-term substance use disorder, mental health issues, and history of incarceration contributed to his offending and inability to manage fines.
Tim now works casually and has full-time care of his 14-year-old son. The worker involved assessed his eligibility for a Special Circumstances Enforcement Review and advised that supporting documentation was needed. The worker involved submitted the application to Fines Victoria, which was approved.
All fines were cancelled.
