Donna, a teacher with decades of service, was charged with driving while her licence was suspended due to a misunderstanding about the length of the suspension. After initial advice from PCLC, a lawyer highlighted Donna’s clean record and community contribution. Donna pleaded guilty, and the Magistrate imposed a 12-month adjourned undertaking without conviction and a small fine.
She avoided a criminal record and kept her job, showing the importance of legal support in protecting livelihoods.
