Peninsula Community Legal Centre received an increasing number of enquiries from parents concerned about changes to the child support system commencing on 1 July 2008.

Peninsula Community Legal Centre held a public forum at the Balla Balla Centre last in September 2008 to provide information about legal issues for residents affected by gas leaks from the Stephensons Road Closed Landfill.

Peninsula Community Legal Centre’s Rosebud Branch opened on 1 December 2008, offering a range of free legal services to the Rosebud and Southern Peninsula community.

Peninsula Community Legal Centre said thank you to its volunteers on International Volunteer Day, 5 December 2008. The Centre currently has 120 volunteers, whose contribution enables the Centre to operate up to 9 additional free legal advice sessions each week, including after-hours sessions at six locations – Frankston, Pines, Bentleigh, Cranbourne, Rosebud and Hastings.
