Peninsula Community Legal Centre offers free legal advice to people who live, work or study in our community.   Ongoing assistance is targeted to clients experiencing disadvantage, subject to guidelines.  Our general catchment includes the municipalities of Frankston, Casey, Cardinia, Glen Eira, Kingston and Mornington Peninsula, with a larger catchment area for some programs.

 We commonly help clients with these types of issues:

  • Family Law; children’s issues, divorce and division of property and child support
  • Intervention Orders; family violence and personal safety
  • Family Violence and related issues
  • Criminal Law
  • Employment
  • Fines
  • Estate/Probate Matters
  • Crimes Compensation (Victims of Crime)
  • Motor Vehicle Accidents – property damage
  • Neighbourhood Disputes
  • Debt
  • Tenancy (private rental only)
  • Social Security law

We may not be able to assist where specialist help or expertise is required.   If we cannot assist we will try to provide a referral to an appropriate service.   From time to time, the centre may undertake casework outside our usual criteria because of compelling public interest reasons.

  • Conveyancing and Building Contracts
  • Taxation
  • Immigration
  • Loan applications / Guarantees
  • Landlord or Trader issues
