Valuing Volunteers Training Kit
PCLC has produced the Valuing Volunteers Kit as a resource for the people responsible for the recruitment, training and co-ordination of volunteers in community legal centres. The Kit contains training and resource modules covering areas such as –
- Orientation
- Effective Communication
- Legislation, Legal Practice Requirements, Insurances & Accountability
- Providing Advice, Information & Referrals
- Screening & Selecting Volunteers.
Originally developed for Victorian community legal centres, during 2007-08 the Kit was adapted for each state and territory in Australia. It is envisaged that PCLC will continue to update and add to the content of the Kit.
Funding for this project has been received from the Victoria Law Foundation and the Australian Government Attorney-General’s Department.
